Given : cost for 250 g glucose = Rs 40  , formula of glucose = C6H12O6

To find : cost of glucose per mole

solution:

molecular formula of glucose = C6H12O6

$$\therefore$$ molecular mass of glucose = (6× atomic mass of C)+(12× atomic mass of H) +(6× atomic mass of O)

=(6×12u)+(12×1u)+(6×16u)

=180 u

n(number of moles ) = $$Mass \over molar\space mass$$

=$$250\over180$$

=1.39 mol

price of 1.39 mol is 40 rupees , therefore for 1 mol

price for 1 mol of glucose  = $$40\times 1\over 1.39$$ = 28.8 Rupees
