Best answer

 i. 5 moles of COgas measured at STP.

Solution ::

molar volume of gas at STP is 22.4 dm3 mol-1

(n)Number of moles of gas =\(Volume\space of \space gas \space at \space STP\over Molar \space volume \space of \space gas\)

Volume of gas at STP = Number of moles × molar volume of gas

=5×22.4

=112 dm3

i. 0.5 moles of COgas measured at STP.

Solution:

molar volume of gas at STP is 22.4 dm3 mol-1

(n)Number of moles of gas =\(Volume\space of \space gas \space at \space STP\over Molar \space volume \space of \space gas\)

Volume of gas at STP = Number of moles × molar volume of gas

=0.5×22.4

=11.2 dm3
